We all have a dream.

And we have as many excuses not to realize them as there are stars in the sky.

Fear, shyness, laziness, being too busy for it, staying in our comfort zone... no matter why, we quite often don’t achieve them and keep dreaming instead.

When I came back to France after living in Guatemala and El Salvador for a year and a half, I remember having a conversation with my mother in the kitchen, sitting by the window. I told her that I would love to learn how to take pictures. She simply answered me, «Why don’t you do it then?» True. Why?

Then she asked me what I wanted to take a picture of. I needed to find a direction and focus on it. I chose portraits because I’m fascinated by people's faces and how much their eyes can tell.

And trees. They are such a beauty on our planet. They’ve been here before us, and they’ll be here after us.

Obviously, when my father asked me what I wanted for my 30th birthday, a camera was the immediate answer.

However, having a camera is great, but it’s even better when you learn how to use it, right?

I registered for a workshop in March with a photographer in Singapore, who taught me 20% of the techniques to do 80% of the job.

During the rest of 2019, the idea started to germinate in my head. Slowly but surely, one day it was clear. I will interview the amazing people I meet in my life all around the world and share their stories.

You would tell me, 'Great Val, but you are neither a journalist nor a photographer'. Correct.

I just want to share what I see and what I hear.

There will be a part dedicated to Human Resources as I work in this field for over twelve years now in order to share best practices and innovative ways of working.

In November, I received confirmation from the wildlife rescue center I was planning to go for volunteering in Jogjakarta, that I could interview the veterinarian. The dream will become real!

I started to create the website and the Instagram page and asked my lovely sister to design the logo. She is the real artist in the family.

As mentioned above, the main purpose of this website is to share with you what I see and what I hear and be a messenger.

To share.

Sharing is what I have learned while living in Central America thanks to my friends and became something really important in my life. Not only doing things for myself but also for others.

With this project, I wish I can share with you beautiful stories of beautiful beings doing beautiful things.
